Despite how conversational she's being, those last sentences completely sum up all the worry, fear, and helplessness she's been feeling. Terezi's not sure when her free hand balled into a fist, and she probably doesn't notice. She's far too busy worrying at her lip with her teeth.
She goes silent. She doesn't bother agreeing, or admitting that since the rest of the grown-up trolls are dead and gone, what they would do doesn't even matter. She, Vriska, Karkat, Sollux, Gamzee, and Kanaya are what's left of the trolls, and if they all live longer than a few hours, then they can define what it means to be a "troll."
Instead, she starts walking again.
They should try to protect each other. What an awesome job they were doing. Fuuuuck.
She stops again. Suddenly. Tapping her cane against the ground before sighing in the most frustrated manner imaginable. Suddenly, it just bursts out of her:
Halfway through her rant, she's turned, pointing her cane at Mark.
He steps back, startled. "I don't claim to have all the answers, Terezi--I'm not a teacher or a judge or a priest. But--speaking personally--I think whatever outcome leaves you all alive at the end of the day is the best one."
Hearing her own thoughts articulated through Mark calms her down. Because, honestly. What sort of story would this be, with the Knight and Seer made to stay cadavers? Certainly not one the alpha timeline would allow.
