More sniffing. He's considering the surrounding walls.

"Everything looks--smells the same, since the event redecorated. How do you get around that? Just your cane?"

He doesn't know where he is. A moment while he switches to video and holds the comm up.

"Here. Somewhere on the second floor."

[ Sniff, sniff, sniff. Yeah, it's a little hard to tell, since everything does smell the same. But Terezi is skillful as fuck at what she does, and in a minute, she's on the trail. She is the bloodhound; it is her.

Eventually, Mark will hear the tap, tap, tap of her cane and catch the scent of JUSTICE in the air. ]

Mark has spent the intervening time considering his comm, trying to decide if he really wants to download and lick the files Terezi sent. Her arrival preempts the decision.

"I hear you."

He pockets his comm and heads toward her voice, trailing a hand along the wall as he goes.

[ She's got his voice and his scent, so it's not long before they meet half way. Without a word, she shoves a cane into his hand. There's the distinct scent of vanilla-cherry in the air. ]

Yes, Terezi, give the inexperienced blind man an edged weapon. Brilliant idea.

"Clever."

Understandably, there's a little apprehension in his tone. He tugs gently at the top of the cane, and there's a brief gasoline-sharp tang of metal before he shoves the two pieces back together. Yikes.

"Thanks. What else do you do to get around?"

Suddenly, the world smells like rainbows. Because Terezi has pulled out her most precious, most sacred of items. A pack of chalk.

She is handing it to you, Mark. TAKE CARE.

He takes the handful of fruit-and-candy scents, surprised to feel something as ordinary as cardboard.

"Oh."

He pats at the box, pulls out a stick to be sure. "Chalk. Of course."

Before he can close the top, her fingers slip in a nab a red.



Grin. Grinning. GRINNINGLYISM.

You'll excuse him if he doesn't quite trust that grin.

He finds himself smiling in return.

"I think I can handle that."

She turns, immediately, and draws a bright red on the wall.

He takes a moment and separates out a couple of the paler colors--mint green and lemon yellow.

"One of these."

He points at Terezi's drawing.

"That smells like cough syrup."

[ She shoves the red into his hands and ganks the green and yellow. Terezi promptly stuffs them into her mouth. ]

He sighs, resigned.

"I'll take your word for it."

But he will color. He scribbles a little red patch on the wall.
